SAMi began life as "Sperminator" - a prototype developed by reproductive scientists who understood firsthand the limitations of manual semen analysis and existing CASA systems.
After years of development and rigorous validation, the system came to market in 2013. The name evolved to SAMi when the system was re-launched in spring 2017, but the core commitment to scientific accuracy and practical usability remained unchanged.
